| I love a good success story! Our October Best Friend of the Month is Bane, the very handsome Australian Cattle Dog, or Blue Heeler. When Bane started out at day care, he was very nervous and scared. On the day of his day care evaluation, we could practically see the fear in his eyes. He was timid just coming inside and we weren’t sure how he was going to like being with the other dogs. At first he didn’t seem very fond of it and would avoid the other dogs, but this would not last long! Bane started opening up and trusting us more and more each time he came to day care. He got comfortable and confident, and his personality started to shine through. He is a sweetheart who just needed some time to get familiar with day care and all of us dog lovers. Since Bane has come out of his shell, he plays non-stop!! The improvement he has made over time, not just with other dogs, but with us too, has been so fun to witness. Now when he comes into day care, he loves getting attention and jumps on everyone, waiting for them to greet him. The fearful, nervous, shy dog has transformed into a fearless, happy, playful, dog with a great personality who loves coming to day care, and we love having him as part of our pack! Congratulations to Bane and his people! Bane will enjoy some silly prizes, a place on our Wall of Besties, and of course the pride and joy of being named Mr. October! |
