JULY AND AUGUST BESTIES OF THE MONTH
This announcement is a little overdue, but we’re so excited to celebrate our July and August Best Friends of the Month!
Please give a big round of a-paws to Butters and Charley! 
Meet Mr. July: BUTTERS!
If enthusiasm for day care were an Olympic sport, Butters would be going home with the gold medal!
Our 6-year-old Lab mix has been part of the Love My Doggy family for about five years, and apparently, five years hasn’t done a thing to diminish his excitement about coming to day care. In fact, according to our staff, Butters may be one of the most excited dogs we’ve ever seen walk through our doors!
The minute he arrives, Butters knows exactly where he wants to be. He’ll howl, shriek, and generally make sure everyone knows that he is READY. TO. PLAY. He has the route to play group memorized — and why waste time when there are friends waiting?!
One staff member summed it up perfectly: “He’s the definition of a day well-spent at daycare.” And we couldn’t agree more. Perhaps the funniest part is seeing the difference between Butters arriving and Butters heading home. The first is a whirlwind of excitement; the second is a very, very tired boy who has clearly put in a full day’s work.
Butters also has a very special relationship with Ang, who is apparently his favorite playground boss. The mutual adoration between those two is pretty hard to miss — and absolutely adorable to watch.
So, after five years of bringing his enthusiasm, silliness, howling, and big personality through our doors, we’re thrilled that our staff decided it was finally time to give this guy the recognition he deserves.

Butters will be enjoying his well-earned prizes and, of course, adding his handsome face to our Wall of Besties for the next year. Congratulations to Butters and his family — thank you for sharing this wonderfully goofy, happy boy with us!
Now if you’ll excuse us, we think we hear someone howling for play group…
Meet Ms. August: CHARLEY!
Every kingdom needs a ruler, and Ruby has found theirs.
Please join us in congratulating Charley, our 9½-year-old Beagle mix and August Best Friend of the Month! Charley has been coming to Love My Doggy for about three years, and during that time she has quietly — and very cutely — established herself as the Mother of Ruby Group.
Charley doesn’t need to make a big production of things. She simply knows her role. She rules Ruby from her favorite cozy spots, often curling herself into a perfect little ball on the bottom shelf so she can keep a watchful eye over her kingdom.
But don’t let her royal responsibilities fool you — this princess is also very serious about receiving the attention she deserves. Charley will happily jump up for pets and cuddles, settle into your lap like she owns the place, and, if you happen to forget your duties, she’ll give you a little paw tap to remind you.
One staff member described it perfectly: “She’s such a good girl and waits patiently for her name to be called when it’s time for her to go home.” And apparently, she also has a particularly sweet way of looking at you with those big eyes that makes it very difficult to resist whatever she is asking for.
Another staff member simply said they love seeing Charley’s sweet little smile and happy trot when she comes and goes from day care — and honestly, we couldn’t ask for a better reason to love her.
So this month, we’re officially recognizing the Queen of Ruby for being the sweet, cuddly, perfectly mannered little munchkin that she is.
