SUMMER BESTIES
| July Best Friend of the Month It is my pleasure to present our incredibly handsome chocolate lab, Link, as Mr. July. We have adored Link for years, and every single one of us is smitten with his good looks, good manners, good temperament, and good day care citizenship! As we know, group play is not always the best fit for all dogs, and Link is the perfect example of the benefits that enrichment day care can offer. We love the one-on-one time we get to spend with Link and he is always just so happy with a tennis ball in is mouth – or trying to fit a herding ball in it. He will never quit trying! If it goes under a table or a shelf his focus is unwavering! He loves his nature walks, and he is very happy to pose for pictures in the sunlight. Link loves to snuggle and he gives the best hugs. Sometimes he’ll hang out in the laundry room with us while we work, and no matter out many clean blankets and beds we put out for him, he wants nothing more than to lay on the dirty laundry! We call him Stinky Linky sometimes, but he really smells just fine, it’s just because he likes the dirty laundry and he’s a silly stinking cute dog! |
| AUGUST BEST FRIEND OF THE MONTH This lovely lady is Winnie the cattle dog mix, and she has won the hearts of the whole team! She is a wonderful role model for the other dogs, just an easy-going, gentle, snuggly girl who is happy to be used as a pillow for any of her playmates. Winnie has lots of friends, both canine and human, and she is always happy to see us. Winnie plays well, naps well, listens well, and is known around these parts as a sweet baby perfect angel! Winnie plays in our Ruby group, which sometimes causes some competition among the team as to who gets to watch the Ruby dogs that day! Winnie is also super smart and helps us with our group sit and recall exercises in group. She loves the attention when we do this because she gets a lot of “good girl’s”! One team member said she’s his favorite because of how easy she is at check-outs, sitting pretty until her leash and collar are properly fitted! But then she runs out the lobby (we’re working on this!) when her parents are out there, we know she’s just excited! |
| Congratulations to Link’s and Winnie’s people! We are so glad you let us hang out with your pups and hope you enjoy your silly prizes, but especially the bragging rights! You have raised great pups! Thank you for being part of the LMDDC pack! |
