One year ago today

Love My Doggy Day Care opened its doors. We can hardly believe it, but it’s true! Love My Doggy Day Care opened its doors for business on September 21, 2015! We had 6 dogs, including 3 of my own, Mr. Ed, Chloe, and Bailey. One week later, we had 10. One month later we had 21. By Christmas we had 31. By Spring Break we were close to 40, and before we knew it, Summer was here, and we regularly had over 50. What an amazing year!

Bryl, Stacey, and I would like to thank all of you for choosing Love My Doggy Day Care. We love dogs – obviously – and we love what we do. But that is not enough to run a successful business. We need to provide you and your pets with an excellent experience. I urge you all to read about our business philosophy, and challenge me if you ever feel we are not fulfilling on our mission.

In just one short year, we have all learned so much, and have fallen in love with the dozens and dozens of dogs we have the privilege of caring for every day. We can’t thank you all enough for putting your trust in us and choosing Love My Doggy Day Care to be part of your pet-care team. It’s not just the dogs that make this the best place to be, ever – it’s the clients too. We have you to thank for our accomplishments. The relationship with you is truly one of the biggest surprises I have had as a new business owner. You have sung our praises, referred us to friends, written fabulous reviews, shared the love on social media, brought us snacks, tipped the staff, sent us cards, volunteered to work, and in a zillion different ways contributed to our early success and our growth.

We would also like to thank Bree, Brooke, Carly, Cathi, Chris, Hillary, Jamie, Jessica, Katie, Kelley, Leni, Maddy, Matt, Melissa, Nikki, Sydnee, Taylor, and Valerie. These are names you see on your Playground Report Cards. These are the people lucky enough to play with your dogs every day. But they are also the people cleaning suites, disinfecting doggy cots, washing 200 stainless steel dog bowls, doing load after load of bedding and towel laundry, dumping mop buckets, and of course, picking up poop! We wouldn’t be here today without the help of this stellar crew., and we’re very proud of them!

Good luck with your spin!

Year 1 was amazing! We are excited about all the dogs we have yet to meet, all the clients we can help, and all the years to come!

So proud of you guys! It was such a privilege to have worked there full time for 8 months, and now on a more sporadic level. I have never been around a more caring group of individuals who love these dogs as if they were their own. Not only did I make a few lifelong friends during my employment there, but getting to know each doggy and family member on an individual basis was an experience I will never forget. I looked forward to coming to work everyday because I knew I would always be surrounded with happiness and wonderful people. I remember seeing the “coming soon” sign last summer, and knew that I would either work there or volunteer, or be a part of LMDDC in one capacity or another. Congratulations to one year, and I know many many more!
